So, I heard a scientist (or someone like that) saying that the normal, the shampoo that we all buy in store, makes hair more oily and that is quite a problem to because my hair is that type of hair that in the end of the day (if I washed it in the morning) can already be oily, and that pisses me off so much, so if the normal shampoo makes it worse (because it have components that just wash all your natural oils that make you hair look cleaner, and make it produce them in much more quantity making your hair as oil as shit) why not try a natural shampoo, a homemade shampoo, that isn't a detergent? I start to investigate some recipes (that, to be honest, I'll only try next year -when I'll be at the college - but I found interesting) that I'll show to you right below.

- Growth
- Shiny
- For oily hair
- Volume
- Lightening
1. I don't really have this problem because my hair grows really fast (sometimes too faster...) but I know there is some people, even my friends that have this problem and want to get over it so... why not to try something new?
To do this shampoo you need:
- Organic Nettle Shampoo (500ml)
- 1-2 Table Spoons Panthenol Solution
- Stinging Nettle Extract (25ml)
- 2-3 Vials Vitamin B Complex
- Castor Oil (50ml)
Mix everything.
OR
- Soap Nuts/ Reetha (100 grams)
- Shikakai Powder (1-2 teaspoons)
Soak soap beans in water and leave them overnight then pour the contents of your bowl into a blender, add Shikakai powder and blend until smooth.
2. We all dream about that perfect shiny hair, that amazing, apparently well carry hair, and the normal shampoos don't always work as they promise so.. it need a little of work but why not try this one?
To do this shampoo you need:
- Distilled Water (1/4 cup)
- Castile Soap, Liquid (1/4 cup)
- Dried Rosemary (2 tablespoons)
- Almond Oil (2 tablespoons)
- Lemon Essential Oil (1/2 Teaspoon)
You have to make a rosemary infusion by boiling distilled water pouring it over dried Rosemary leaves and steeping it until half cooled. Strain then use this liquid as a base in which you’ll add the rest of the ingredients.
3. You have various options to this one, I will try them all (every that I find) and in a future post give you my opinion, because I really need this one so much.
Aloe Vera
You need:
- lemon juice
- aloe vera gel
- liquid castile soap
Mix liquid castile soap with two tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice and a teaspoon of aloe vera gel.
Avocado
You need:
- 1 Ripe Avocado (Peeled, Pitted and Pureed)
- Baking Soda (2 tsps)
- Distilled Water (1/4 cup, preferably warm)
Blend the ingredients well until you get a smooth paste.
4. I have that typical straight hair, I can't do anything with it, any wave leaves my hair in minutes and it just have no volume, basically, so I really will try this one.
To do this shampoo you need:
- baking soda
- water
- cornstarch
Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with a cup of water, add cornstarch until it reaches thickness that you want and use on your hair instead of your normal shampoo, and enjoy your new voluminous hair (maybe..)
5. This is not really a shampoo, this is more like tips to that persons that like light hair and already have a lightish hair, mine is like a light brown hair with some gold glances so I really want to try this two:
Salt:
Just mix 1 part salt with about 5 parts water and rinse your hair. Allow to sit in hair for at least 15 minutes (you can enjoy reading a good book while you're waiting) and then rinse clean.
Lemon:
I already knew about the lightening proprieties of lemon so this old school tip probably works really well.
just mix cup of water with about 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and apply it to your hair. Then just sit in the sunlight until your hair dries.
There are lots of tips, I choose this two because they are really easy and seems to work.
If you have any advice to me, please fell free to let me know, leaving a comment below :)
