10 different places to travel

I'm 17, from Portugal and I really dream about explore all world and enjoy the most beautiful places on earth, here I'll post my personal top 25 and give some information about them:

• Australia

This huge island were the 1st to get away of Pangaea which means that their animals and plants are different from all in the world, so this place are an amazing place to stay a few time because of their variety of environment and species unique in world.

• Iceland

Iceland island is a volcanic island covered by ice what gives to tourists the most spectacular views of the hole world, is the northerner country of the world which make the country a sub-polar place with really cold temperatures. The main island is located in the Atlantic rift; in the island we can see that rift out of the see. Even when the temperatures are really low, there are places in it where the water are in amazing 38ºC.

• Japan

Japan is also a volcanic island and is located in the middle of 3 borders convergence which make it one of the more unstable places in the world, and the most prepared to an earthquake event. It is also a wonderful place with a Asiatic beauty and delicate of the nature.

• Peru (Machu Picchu)

Machu Picchu were in past times a great city that belonged to Incas people and that the Spanish discoverers totally destroyed. The ruins of this ancient city that is called "the Inca's lost city" and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. What is incredible about the city is that is placed at 2,430 m high in the mountain above Sacred Valley.

• Maldives

Maldives archipelago is the typical tropical archipelago with islands with really light and soft sand and transparent blue warm water, with a faun and flora extraordinary and exuberant. This is the destination of lots of honey moons because of the calm that this place gives to those who have the chance to go there. To me, what most attract me is the cute houses that "float" over the water and where (in my imagination at least) you can wake up and just... jump to the hot water of the sea.

• Yellowstone

The Yellowstone national park is located in the state of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. There are wonderful views given by the huge super-volcano  that exists there because of a hotspot hidden under the lithosphere and which warms all the water in the park and create geysers and the so well known hot springs.

• New York City 

New York is the city of the cities, the city that never sleeps and were you can do anything that you can imagine, basically, there is a great place to experience a amazing mix of cultures and persons. The big apple have their so characteristic skyscrapers but can also have huge green parks (like central park - the most known) interacting. Go to this city and see how new yorker live might be a life experience.

• Chicago

The city of jazz, near to the great lakes are a really amazing place. When I think in Chicago I imagine lots of art and street artists, amazing music in bars and restaurants and a place with is great to live. This city in Michigan is the 3rd most populous city of US with around 10 million people (just the same number of people living in my hole country..) living in it metropolitan area.

• Canada

Canada is the 2nd largest country of Earth (just smaller than Russia) and have a great landscapes, like huge mountains covered by snow, glaciers, lakes, cities, and really beautiful different places. Canada have also the biggest coastline of the world and almost 32.000 lakes with extremely beautiful landscapes.

• Hawaii

I have to say that I start to appreciate the beauty of Hawaii watching Hawaii five-0...

This archipelago is also formed (just similarly to Yellowstone) by a hotspot in the middle of Pacific Ocean. The beauty of (most of all) the flora of the islands make anyone lose them mind, the rich flora (and faun) of the island are proportionate by the really warm climate typical from the tropics. There is nothing on Hawaii that isn't wonderfully beautiful... beaches, forests, volcanoes...

This list was supposed to have 25 different destinations, however I start to see that it wold be an extremely huge post so I reduced this to the "top 10" (I guess). It was really hard to me because places like Sweden, Norway, LA, Las Vegas, Galapagos, Italy, France, England, Scotland, Indonesia, Alaska, Dubai...
